A Partner at HealthCare Appraisers, Mr. Hutzler has more than ten years of experience as a financial analyst and nearly 20 years of experience as an attorney, including positions in healthcare law, private equity investment banking, strategic business development and business affairs. At HealthCare Appraisers, Mr. Hutzler has focused on fair market value analysis of hospital arrangements with physicians for clients nationwide, including on-call arrangements, medical directorships, employment arrangements and physician recruitment arrangements.
Prior to joining HealthCare Appraisers, he worked for a law firm representing healthcare clients, including a large health system, in various physician contracting arrangements, healthcare law and investment matters. Prior to that, Mr. Hutzler worked for a private equity firm in Miami, Florida where he managed investment holdings, performed financial analysis and served as in-house counsel. Previously, he worked in various facets of the entertainment industry, including a position in the Bertelsmann e-commerce group.
Mr. Hutzler is an Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA), and holds the degrees of Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Wharton School, and Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Maryland. He is an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), where he serves as Vice Chair of the Hospitals and Health Systems Practice Group and served as the first Chair of the FMV Affinity Group from 2007 to 2009.
