Mr. Lara is principal of HealthCare Appraisers.  Mr. Lara has over five years of fulltime healthcare valuation experience, focusing on business valuation and complex compensation arrangements which may have Stark and/or Anti-Kickback implications.  As one of the first full time employees of HAI, Mr. Lara has gained exposure to every type of analysis that HAI provides to clients and was instrumental in developing our internal standards and templates.

Prior to joining HealthCare Appraisers, Mr. Lara served as Director of Financial Analysis for a private equity consulting firm where he facilitated capital raising efforts (equity, senior and subordinated debt) through providing financial modeling and transaction due diligence functions.  Transactions financed and consummated during his employment exceeded $150 million in enterprise value.  Prior to that, Mr. Lara worked for an M&A advisory firm providing full service mergers and acquisitions consulting via valuation and on-site due diligence for healthcare and service entities. 

Mr. Lara is a CFA charterholder and an Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA).
