Mr. Carr specializes in business valuation, leasing arrangements and the analysis of healthcare provider compensation relationships. His industry experience includes provider-based analysis and development of joint venture ASCs, outpatient clinics/procedure areas, under-arrangements, “per click” leases, and physician contracting, as well as extensive support of cardiovascular, orthopedic, general surgery, and trauma service lines.
Prior to joining HealthCare Appraisers, Mr. Carr was the Director of Finance and Controller of a large academic medical center where he led the financial analysis, planning, and operations functions for seven business units. He began his career as a “rocket scientist”, serving with NASA as an engineer in the Space Shuttle and International Space Station programs.
Mr. Carr earned a Master in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Rice University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Tennessee. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and a candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
